This is a very simple pantograph made with a series of dashes and dots! Or does it look like bubble wrap, donuts...? :)
When you have a quilt top that is complex or busy, sometimes you just need simple quilting to "stay out of the way" and add great texture.
There's a bit of double stitching to ensure the fluidity of the design stitching L to R or R to L. Slow your stitching as necessary to minimize the look of any double-stitched lines.

I like to set my row height around 1" and offset every other row by 50% to get the results shown in the photo.
