Made to look hand-guided, Echoed Swirls is a great pantograph to use on quilts with a lot of negative space or quilts that use solids fabrics that prints that read solid. The texture is fantastic and the curvy design is a nice contrast to angular piecing.

To use: Offset every other row by 50%.

In one of the example photos, you'll see the top portion (green) stitched out with 7.7" rows and a gap of -6.3" for a total pattern height of 14.0". In the bottom example (red), I used a 6.612" row with a gap of 5.41" to get a pattern height of 12.02".

There is very minimal (barely any) backtracking, but the design is dense. For dense pantographs that are nested closely together, I suggest stitching each row in the same direction (L to R). In general, it's good to be aware that fabric draw can happen, so watch the margins of your quilt because it'll shrink up toward the center. The big thing to watch for is that the stitching doesn't overlap with the last quilted pass.
